SHEtalk: Guro Storlien Evensen on how self-leadership can change diversity in tech

As part of the SHE Conference 2022 Guro gave a SHEtalk about her passion for humans and technology and highlights the importance of diversity in tech.

“With my grades, my student counselor in high school told me that I should study to become a lawyer, or a doctor and that engineering is not for girls. Clearly, this was wrong!”

In her SHEtalk, Guro shares her passion for humans and technology and highlights the importance of diversity in tech. The gender gap in technology is not happening fast enough, she explains.

The World Economic Forum’s gender gap report from 2021 states that it will take more than a generation (from 100 to 135 years) before the gender gap is closed globally.

“This means that not even the child I carry will experience true gender equality. This is a problem, and we need to fix it”, Guro says.
