I joined Tietoevry for the first time in September 2021, and returned in April 2024.
Before joining the company for the first time, I worked in the food industry, where I also took a break to explore other opportunities. In addition to my operational work there, I was also involved in a D365 project, where I realized that I currently enjoy the project desk side more than being on the client side.
I actually returned thanks to one of my colleagues, as we stayed in touch after my departure and the idea of coming back had been lingering in my mind for a while. Thanks to her, I reached out to my former manager, and here we are now. 😄
It was easy to come back as there were no bigger changes in the company. Well, I do have new colleagues, but otherwise not much has changed. The feeling of coming back was a mixture of relief and excitement, as it was really easy to return to the familiar and safe environment.
First and foremost, I missed my colleagues a lot when I was away! They are the best and I really enjoy working with them. 😊 I also enjoyed working in the projects and even though I came back to other one, it has been enjoyable, and I have managed to develop my skills and learn new things!

From my experience, I can say that if even a small thought crosses your mind about whether returning could be a good solution, it usually is. So just do it!
