The City of Västerås has completed its procurement regarding IT operation services and has chosen TietoEVRY as its IT partner in four out of five agreement areas. TietoEVRY will support the city in their digital transformation, and the agreement extends over four years and amounts to a value of SEK 300 million. The agreement also includes an option to extend the delivery by another two years.
The City of Västerås has digitalization high on its agenda and has initiated several digital projects and innovation programs. Modern IT support forms the foundation for realizing the possibilities of digitalization and is of great importance for all the city's operations. The procurement placed high demands on user experience, high efficiency, and quality as well as increased safety and accessibility, areas that are crucial in making everyday life easier for the city's 11,000 employees in areas such as healthcare, welfare, education and administration.

The agreement between TietoEVRY and the City of Västerås covers four defined areas: infrastructure services, service desk and on-site support, security services and workplace services.
